طَاعَة
This verse links obedience to the Prophet ﷺ with obedience to Allah.
مَّن يُطِعِ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدۡ أَطَاعَ ٱللَّهَ
Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:80
In this verse, Allah states that obedience to the Messenger ﷺ is obedience to Him. The Prophet ﷺ conveys the revelation and guides the believers. Following him in his teachings and example is thus following the path Allah has chosen. In daily life, this means we can refer to the Sunnah for our actions: prayer, behavior, speech. Whenever we act according to his example, we obey Allah. The next verse shows that some claim obedience but act otherwise; we must be sincere in our obedience.
Today, choose one act of the Sunnah (like greeting or the call to prayer) and perform it with the intention of following the Prophet ﷺ.
