The Certainty that Soothes

This verse affirms the oneness of Allah and the certainty of the Resurrection.

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ لَيَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهِۗ وَمَنۡ أَصۡدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حَدِيثٗا

Allah - there is no deity except Him. He will surely assemble you for [account on] the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than Allah in statement?

Quran, An-Nisa 4:87

This verse brings together two fundamental truths: Allah is unique, and He will gather us on the Day of Resurrection. There is no doubt about it, for Allah's word is the most truthful.

In the face of life's uncertainties, this certainty anchors us. We know our existence has meaning and that we will be called to account. This invites us to live with confidence and responsibility.

Today, take a minute to reflect on Allah's oneness and repeat in your heart: 'There is no deity but Allah.'
