تَبَيُّن
This verse teaches us not to accuse lightly.
فَتَبَيَّنُواْ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَنۡ أَلۡقَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلسَّلَٰمَ لَسۡتَ مُؤۡمِنٗا
Investigate and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace, 'You are not a believer.'
Quran, An-Nisa 4:94
In this verse, Allah asks believers to verify before passing judgment. He forbids them from calling someone a non-believer without proof, especially when that person shows signs of peace. The verse reminds us that worldly gains are not worth an unjust accusation. Today, we can apply this by taking time to verify information before judging someone. Whether in conversation or on social media, it is important not to accuse without certainty.
