صَدَقَة
This verse invites us to use our words to recommend what is good.
إِلَّا مَنۡ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوۡ مَعۡرُوفٍ أَوۡ إِصۡلَٰحِۭ بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ
except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:114
Verse 4:114 of the Quran teaches us that much of private conversation contains no good. But it makes an exception for three cases: recommending charity, recommending a good deed, or recommending reconciliation between people. Such words are precious. Every day, we speak a lot. We can choose to put our words at the service of others. Encouraging someone to give, suggesting help, or soothing a conflict: these are words that carry weight. And if we say them seeking Allah's approval, a great reward is promised to us.
Today, encourage someone around you to do a good deed, such as giving or reconciling with someone.
