يُجْزَ بِهِ
This verse reminds us that our actions have consequences.
مَن يَعۡمَلۡ سُوٓءٗا يُجۡزَ بِهِۦ
Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:123
This verse states that Paradise is not obtained by wishful thinking, neither for us nor for the People of the Scripture. What matters is our actual deeds. Whoever commits an evil act will face its consequence, and will find no protector or helper besides Allah. This invites us to take responsibility for our choices. We cannot rely on the merits of others or on empty hopes. Every day, we decide our actions, and we will be accountable for them.
Today, before acting, ask yourself: is this action good or bad? Consciously choose to do good.
