صُلْح
This verse teaches us that reconciliation between spouses is better than separation.
وَٱلصُّلۡحُ خَيۡرٞۗ
and settlement is best
Quran, An-Nisa 4:128
In this verse, Allah mentions a woman who fears abandonment or indifference from her husband. He clarifies that there is no sin upon the couple if they make terms of settlement. Reconciliation is better, even though human souls are prone to stinginess, meaning wanting to keep everything for oneself. In daily life, it is sometimes difficult to compromise. Yet, favoring harmony and kindness in marriage is a good thing. It requires overcoming one's ego and seeking what is fair for both.
Today, if you have a disagreement with your spouse, propose a gesture of reconciliation, such as a calm conversation or a small attention.
