This verse reminds us that our existence is in Allah's hands.
If He wills, He can do away with you, O people, and bring others [in your place]. And ever is Allah competent to do that.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:133
This verse addresses all people. It states that Allah has the power to make a people disappear and bring others in their place. This ability is presented as an example of His power. The previous verse reminds us that Allah owns everything in the heavens and on earth. The next one indicates that all reward, in this world or the Hereafter, is with Him. This reality calls for humility. We are not indispensable. Our existence depends on Allah's will. This encourages us to remain grateful and not to be proud of our achievements.
Take a moment to reflect on a blessing you have received and thank Allah for it.
