إِخْلَاص
This verse shows how sincere repentance transforms our place among the believers.
وَأَخۡلَصُواْ دِينَهُمۡ لِلَّهِ
and are sincere in their religion for Allah
Quran, An-Nisa 4:146
After mentioning the fate of the hypocrites, the verse opens a door of hope: those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion are counted among the believers. Sincerity (ikhlāṣ) is here associated with repentance and reform. In our daily lives, we can cultivate this sincerity by purifying our intentions, returning to Allah after a mistake, and seeking to improve our behavior. This brings us closer to the believers and distances us from hypocrisy.
Today, before an action, ask yourself: 'Am I doing this for Allah?' then perform that action with a sincere intention.
