الاستكبار
This verse invites us to reflect on the attitudes of arrogance and humility before Allah.
وَمَن يَسۡتَنكِفۡ عَنۡ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيَسۡتَكۡبِرۡ فَسَيَحۡشُرُهُمۡ إِلَيۡهِ جَمِيعٗا
And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant - He will gather them to Himself all together.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:172
The verse reminds us that even the Messiah and the angels close to Allah humbly accept to be His servants. It condemns those who refuse worship out of arrogance, stating that Allah will gather them all before Him. In our daily lives, arrogance can prevent us from admitting mistakes, seeking forgiveness, or accepting the truth. Humility, on the other hand, opens us to growth and closeness to Allah.
Today, take a moment to reflect on an area where you might be arrogant, then perform a humble act, such as apologizing to someone or admitting a mistake.
