فضل الله
This verse gives good news to believers who do good deeds.
فَيُوَفِّيهِمۡ أُجُورَهُمۡ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦۖ
He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:173
In this verse, Allah promises believers who do good deeds a complete reward, then an addition from His bounty. This surplus is an extra favor, beyond what is deserved. The verse contrasts this generosity with the arrogance of those who refuse to worship Allah, who will suffer a painful punishment. This bounty reminds us that our efforts are never lost. Even if our deeds are imperfect, Allah may accept them and add His goodness. Today, we can cultivate hope by relying on this promise.
Do one sincere good deed today, even a small one, and remember that Allah may add His bounty to it.
