عفو
This verse invites us to forgive and overlook, for Allah loves those who do good.
فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡفَحۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
So pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:13
In this verse, Allah asks the Prophet to forgive and overlook despite repeated betrayals. Forgiveness is presented as a quality of those who do good, the beneficent. In daily life, we may face injustices or hurtful words. Forgiving does not mean approving the mistake, but choosing not to let it poison us. It is an act of strength and wisdom.
Today, identify someone who has wronged you and decide to forgive them sincerely, letting go of resentment.
