تَوَكُّل
Two men remind the believers that trust in Allah accompanies action.
وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:23
In this verse, two men urge their people to enter through the gate of the city despite fear. They affirm that victory will follow entry, then they add: "And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers." Thus, tawakkul does not replace effort; it accompanies it. One takes the means, then leaves the outcome to Allah. In our daily lives, this means acting seriously, then entrusting the result to Allah. For example, preparing for an exam, seeking a job, or starting a project, while knowing that success comes from Him. This trust calms the heart and gives courage.
Today, before an important action, do your best, then say: "I rely on Allah."
