اسْتِبَاقُ الْخَيْرَات
This verse invites us to compete in goodness, for Allah judges our differences.
فَٱسۡتَبِقُواْ ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۚ
So race to [all that is] good.
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:48
In this verse, Allah reminds us that He has given each community a law and a way. If He had willed, He would have made us one nation. But He wants to test us through what He has given us. Thus, our differences are not random; they are part of the test. Instead of comparing ourselves or judging others, we are invited to surpass ourselves in goodness. Each person can act according to their abilities and context. What matters is to run towards what is good, with sincerity and perseverance.
Today, perform one extra good deed, such as helping someone or sharing useful knowledge.
