This verse invites us to reflect on true worship.
Say, "Do you worship besides Allah that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allah who is the Hearing, the Knowing"
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:76
The verse poses a direct question: why worship anything other than Allah, when those things can neither harm nor benefit? It reminds us that Allah, He is the Hearing and the Knowing. Thus, worship should be directed to Him alone. In our daily lives, we may sometimes give too much importance to creatures or possessions. This verse calls us to refocus our hearts on Allah alone, without denying the usefulness of means, but recognizing that true power is in His hands.
Today, take a moment to reflect: is there anything you place above Allah in your heart? Ask Him to purify your worship.
