خَوْف
Allah tests the believers to reveal those who fear Him in secret.
لِيَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِۚ
so that Allah may make evident those who fear Him unseen
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:94
In this verse, Allah announces that He will test the believers, here through game within reach. The goal is to distinguish those who fear Him in secret, without witnesses. This fear is inward: it arises from awareness of His presence. In daily life, we are often tempted when no one sees us. The fear of Allah helps us stay upright. It is not paralyzing fear, but deep respect that guides our choices.
Today, before acting, ask yourself: 'Do I fear Allah in secret?' Then perform a good deed discreetly, like a smile or silent help.
