رَحْمَة
This verse reveals a comforting truth: Allah has prescribed mercy upon Himself.
كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةَ
Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy.
Quran, Al-An'aam 6:54
In this verse, Allah instructs the Prophet to greet those who believe in His signs with peace. He then announces that mercy is an obligation He has placed upon Himself. This mercy extends to anyone who does wrong out of ignorance, then repents and corrects themselves. Allah promises His forgiveness and mercy. This verse teaches us that sincere repentance is always accepted. It encourages us not to despair of Allah's mercy, even after a mistake. Today, we can turn to Him with confidence.
Take a moment today to sincerely repent for a mistake, asking Allah for forgiveness and resolving to improve.
