Remind without carrying the burden

This verse frees us from a burden while inviting us to a kind reminder.

وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنۡ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖ وَلَٰكِن ذِكۡرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ

And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.

Quran, Al-An'aam 6:69

This verse follows advice to turn away from those who mock Allah's signs. It clarifies that the pious are not responsible for others' actions. Their role is not to judge or control, but to remind. The word 'dhikra' means this reminder, a gentle invitation to piety.

In daily life, we meet people who act far from teachings. We cannot change them by force. But we can, through a right word or an exemplary behavior, plant a seed. The verse relieves us of guilt while encouraging us to reach out.

Today, give a kind reminder to someone, through a message or a word, without insisting or judging.
