أَفَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبۡتَغِي حَكَمٗا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلٗا
Should I seek other than Allah as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?
Quran, Al-An'aam 6:114
The verse asks: should we seek another judge besides Allah, when He has revealed the detailed Book? The word 'judge' (ḥakam) refers to the one who decides. Allah sent the Quran with clear explanations. Those who received the Scriptures know it is the truth from God. The verse warns us against doubt. In our daily lives, we often seek opinions everywhere. This verse invites us to return to the Quran to enlighten our choices. It is not about knowing everything, but about consulting this Book sincerely.
