الظن
This verse warns us against following the majority without evidence.
إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ
They follow not except assumption.
Quran, Al-An'aam 6:116
In this verse, Allah says that if one obeys most people on earth, they will lead him astray from His path. The reason: they follow only assumptions, baseless suppositions. The previous verse reminds that Allah's word is true and just, and He knows all. The next verse affirms that Allah knows those who stray and those who are guided.
