خُطُوَاتُ الشَّيْطَانِ
This verse invites us to enjoy Allah's blessings while staying vigilant.
كُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ
Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
Quran, Al-An'aam 6:142
In this verse, Allah reminds us that He created livestock for our service. He permits us to eat from them, as He provided them. Then He warns us: do not follow the footsteps of Satan. The text does not specify what these footsteps are, but it associates them with the idea of a clear enemy. In daily life, this means we can enjoy lawful foods without falling into excess or disobedience. We know Satan is our enemy, so let us stay on the path Allah has laid out for us.
