كَسْب
This verse reminds us that every soul is responsible for its own deeds.
وَلَا تَكۡسِبُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيۡهَاۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰ
Every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another.
Quran, Al-An'aam 6:164
In this passage, Allah tells the Prophet to proclaim that He is the Lord of all things. Then the verse states that each person only reaps what they have earned, and no one will carry the sin of another. This means we are all accountable for our choices, without being able to blame someone else. In our daily life, this truth invites us to think before we act. We cannot hide behind others to justify our mistakes. Every decision, good or bad, belongs to us. This encourages us to take responsibility for our actions and to sincerely seek self-improvement.
Today, before acting, ask yourself: 'Do I fully own this action?' Then consciously choose a good deed.
