This verse warns us against injustice toward Allah's signs.
And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who will lose themselves for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses.
Quran, Al-A'raf 7:9
The previous verse speaks of the weighing of deeds on the Day of Judgment. Here, Allah describes those whose scale is light: they have lost their own soul. The cause? They were unjust toward Allah's signs, meaning they neglected or rejected them. Every day, we encounter Allah's signs: nature, the Quran, life events. Ignoring them is harming ourselves. Let's take a moment to acknowledge and reflect on them.
Today, observe one sign of Allah (a sunset, a page of the Quran) and meditate on it for one minute.
