ٱسْتِعَانَة
Moses encourages his persecuted people to seek Allah's help and remain patient.
ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْۖ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
"Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous."
Quran, Al-A'raf 7:128
In this verse, Moses reminds his people that the earth belongs to Allah. He gives it as inheritance to whom He wills. Victory does not depend on strength, but on divine will. Patience and trust in Allah are therefore essential. When a difficulty seems too great, we can turn to Allah. Istiʿāna is asking Him for support. Meanwhile, we remain patient. The happy outcome is promised to those who fear Him and obey Him.
Today, before acting, say: "I seek Allah's help" and take a breath to remain patient.
