ٱبْتِلَاء
Verse 130 of Surah Al-A'raf shows us how Allah uses difficulties to awaken consciences.
وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَآ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِٱلسِّنِينَ وَنَقۡصٖ مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits, that perhaps they would be reminded.
Quran, Al-A'raf 7:130
This verse refers to a historical reality: Allah tested Pharaoh's people with famine and loss of crops. The goal is clear: to make them reflect and remember Him. The trial is not a blind punishment but a means of reminder. In our lives, difficulties can also be opportunities to refocus. Instead of seeing only the pain, we can ask ourselves: what does this situation teach me? How can I return to what matters most?
