شَاكِرِينَ
Allah chose Moses and asked him to be grateful.
فَخُذۡ مَآ ءَاتَيۡتُكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
"So take what I have given you and be among the grateful."
Quran, Al-A'raf 7:144
In this verse, Allah addresses Moses after giving him His messages and His word. He reminds him that He has chosen him over all people, then commands him to take what He has given and to be among the grateful. Gratitude is thus presented as an essential quality, even for a prophet. We also receive many blessings from Allah every day. Expressing our gratitude can be simple: thanking Allah in our hearts, with our words, or by using His gifts in a good way.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for a specific blessing, for example by saying "Alhamdulillah" sincerely.
