غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
This verse teaches us that Allah forgives those who repent and believe.
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهَا لَغَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
Your Lord, after that, is surely Forgiving and Merciful.
Quran, Al-A'raf 7:153
The verse speaks of those who committed misdeeds, then repented and believed. It does not say they are lost. On the contrary, it affirms that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. The previous verse mentions anger for those who worshipped the calf, but this one opens a door of hope after the fault. In our lives, we make mistakes. This verse encourages us not to despair. We can turn to Allah, acknowledge our wrongs, and strengthen our faith. Allah's forgiveness is immense.
Today, take a moment to sincerely repent for a fault, asking Allah for forgiveness and deciding not to repeat it.
