صِدْق
This verse invites us to surround ourselves with sincere people.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُواْ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.
Quran, At-Tawba 9:119
This verse combines two essential counsels: the fear of Allah and the company of the truthful. Being with the sincere means choosing a circle that helps us remain honest and upright. The previous verse speaks of the repentance of those who failed, and the next one mentions striving to follow the Messenger. Thus, truthfulness is linked to faith and action. In our daily lives, our friends influence our words and deeds. Choosing honest people protects us and encourages us to become better. Today, we can reflect on our associations and our own sincerity.
