البَغْي
After being saved, some people begin to transgress unjustly on earth.
فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمۡ إِذَا هُمۡ يَبۡغُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّۗ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغۡيُكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۖ
But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves.
Quran, Yunus 10:23
This verse describes a specific situation: people in danger call upon Allah, then once saved, they engage in injustice. The text does not say they forget Allah, but it emphasizes that their transgression turns against themselves. This word invites us to reflect: our unjust actions are not without consequence. They affect us directly, even if not always immediately visible. Today, we can choose to act justly in our interactions.
Identify a situation where you might be tempted to act unjustly (for example, cheating, lying, or being harsh with someone) and consciously choose to act fairly.
