The Best Reward

This verse fills us with hope: our good deeds are never lost.

لِّلَّذِينَ أَحۡسَنُواْ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ وَزِيَادَةٞ

For those who do good is the best reward and even more.

Quran, Yunus 10:26

This verse associates the best reward with those who do good. It even adds 'and extra' without specifying its nature. The following verse shows the contrast with those who do evil: they receive the equivalent of their deeds. Here, Allah promises a generosity that goes beyond fairness.

This promise encourages us to persevere in doing good, even when it is difficult. We can cultivate hope by remembering that every good deed counts and may be rewarded beyond what we imagine.

Today, do one simple good deed, like a sincere smile or discreet help, thinking that nothing is lost with Allah.
