عَمَل
This verse invites us to focus on our own actions rather than those of others.
لِّي عَمَلِي وَلَكُمۡ عَمَلُكُمۡ
For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds.
Quran, Yunus 10:41
In this verse, Allah teaches the Prophet ﷺ how to respond to those who call him a liar: he simply states that each person is responsible for their own deeds. This response avoids useless arguments and reminds us that everyone will be accountable for what they do. In our daily lives, we often meet people who criticize our choices or beliefs. Instead of engaging in sterile debates, we can adopt this serene attitude: we do our best, and others are responsible for their own actions.
Today, if someone criticizes or contradicts you, say to yourself: 'For me my deeds, for you yours' and do not engage in the argument.
