وَلِيّ
This verse gives good news to those who draw near to Allah.
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوۡلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
Unquestionably, the allies of Allah will have no fear nor will they grieve.
Quran, Yunus 10:62
Verse 62 of Surah Yunus brings together two promises for the allies of Allah: freedom from fear and freedom from grief. The next verse clarifies that they are those who believe and fear Allah, meaning they respect and obey Him. In our daily lives, we may feel fear about the future or sadness about the past. This verse invites us to place our trust in Allah, for He is witness to our actions and knows our efforts.
Today, take a moment to write down one fear or sadness, then entrust it to Allah in a supplication.
