عِزَّة
This verse teaches us not to let the words of others affect us.
وَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ إِنَّ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًاۚ
And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allah entirely.
Quran, Yunus 10:65
In this verse, Allah consoles His Prophet by telling him not to grieve over the words of the disbelievers. He reminds that all power (al-ʿizzah) belongs entirely to Him. Thus, criticism or mockery has no real power. When someone hurts us with their words, we can remember that true strength is in Allah's hands. We don't need to respond or prove anything. We can entrust our pain to Allah, who hears and knows all.
Today, if a word hurts you, repeat inwardly: "Power belongs to Allah" and entrust your pain to Him.
