الْبَلَاءُ
This verse reveals why Allah created the heavens and the earth.
لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۗ
that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed
Quran, Hud 11:7
Allah created the heavens and the earth in six days, while His Throne was upon water. The purpose of this creation is to test us: which of us is best in deed. The verse speaks not of quantity, but of the quality of action. In our daily lives, every action can be done with care and sincerity. Whether at work, school, or home, we can aim for excellence, not to show off, but to respond to this divine test.
Today, choose an ordinary task and perform it with extra care, seeking to do it in the best possible way.
