ٱسْتِغْفَار
This verse invites us to seek forgiveness and repent to receive blessings.
ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ يُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّدۡرَارٗا وَيَزِدۡكُمۡ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمۡ
Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send rain from the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength.
Quran, Hud 11:52
In this verse, Prophet Hud asks his people to seek forgiveness from Allah and turn back to Him. In return, Allah promises abundant rain and increased strength. Forgiveness is thus linked to material and physical blessings. Today, we can turn to Allah through istighfar, asking His forgiveness for our shortcomings. This can bring us peace and help us move forward with confidence.
Take a moment today to sincerely say: 'My Lord, I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.'
