حِلْم
This verse describes Abraham as a model of patience and sincere return to Allah.
إِنَّ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّـٰهٞ مُّنِيبٞ
Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving and [frequently] returning [to Allah].
Quran, Hud 11:75
In this verse, Allah combines three qualities of Abraham: forbearance (ḥilm), grieving (awwāh), and returning (munīb). These traits show how he remained patient and turned to Allah, even in difficult moments. In our daily lives, we can cultivate this patience by staying calm in trials and returning to Allah through prayer and repentance. This helps us keep a serene and trusting heart.
Today, take a moment to make a sincere supplication, asking Allah to grant you patience and to accept you among those who return to Him.
