ٱسۡتِغۡفَار
This verse invites us to seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him.
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٞ وَدُودٞ
And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Affectionate.
Quran, Hud 11:90
The Prophet Shu'ayb, peace be upon him, calls his people to two connected actions: asking Allah for forgiveness, then sincerely returning to Him. It is not just regret, but a movement of return. Allah is described as Merciful and Affectionate, which encourages us not to despair. In our daily lives, we can pause for a moment, acknowledge our shortcomings, and turn to Allah with confidence. This verse reminds us that His forgiveness is near for those who return to Him.
Today, take a minute to sincerely say: 'I ask Allah for forgiveness and I turn to Him.'
