لَا تَقۡصُصۡ
In the Quran, a father guides his son with prudence.
لَا تَقۡصُصۡ رُءۡيَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ إِخۡوَتِكَ
"Do not relate your vision to your brothers"
Quran, Yusuf 12:5
In this verse, Jacob advises his son Joseph not to tell his dream to his brothers. He fears they might harm him. This advice shows a father's care in protecting his child by guiding him wisely. Today, parents can follow this example. Before sharing personal information, it is wise to consider the consequences. Protecting children also means teaching them to discern what they should reveal.
Today, before sharing personal news, ask yourself if it could harm someone. If so, keep it to yourself or seek a parent's advice.
