يَجۡتَبِيكَ
In this verse, Allah tells Joseph that He chooses him and completes His favor upon him.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَجۡتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِن تَأۡوِيلِ ٱلۡأَحَادِيثِ وَيُتِمُّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَيۡكَ وَعَلَىٰٓ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَ
And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of narratives and complete His favor upon you and upon the family of Jacob.
Quran, Yusuf 12:6
This verse is addressed to Joseph after his dream. Allah promises to choose him, teach him the interpretation of dreams, and complete His favor upon him and his family, just as He did for Abraham and Isaac. This shows that Allah guides and elevates some of His servants. Today, we can trust that Allah chooses and guides whom He wills. Even in uncertain times, we can hope that Allah will grant us His favor and teach us what is good for us.
