Joseph, in prison, reveals that his knowledge comes from his Lord.
ذَٰلِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِي رَبِّيٓ
That is from what my Lord has taught me.
Quran, Yusuf 12:37
In this verse, Joseph tells his prison companions that he can interpret their dreams before their food even arrives. He clarifies that this ability is a teaching from his Lord. Thus, useful knowledge is a gift from Allah, not just personal merit. We also receive knowledge. Using it to help others, as Joseph does, is a way to acknowledge this gift. Today, we can share a skill with someone in need.
