This verse teaches us the importance of foresight.
Then will come after that seven difficult years which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store.
Quran, Yusuf 12:48
In this passage, Joseph explains that after seven years of abundance, seven difficult years will come. They will consume the reserves, except what has been carefully kept. This verse shows that foresight is a valuable quality: it helps us get through hard times. In our daily lives, we can apply this by saving part of our resources, taking care of our health, or maintaining our relationships. Preparing today is protecting ourselves for tomorrow.
Today, set aside a small amount of money or a useful item, even symbolic, for a future need.
