عِلْم
This verse invites us to remain humble in our pursuit of knowledge.
نَرۡفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٖ مَّن نَّشَآءُۗ وَفَوۡقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلۡمٍ عَلِيمٞ
We raise in degrees whom We will, and above every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing.
Quran, Yusuf 12:76
In the story of Joseph, Allah reminds us that He raises in rank whom He wills. This elevation also applies to knowledge: no one attains absolute knowledge. Above every scholar, there is someone more knowledgeable, up to Allah Himself. This reality calls us to intellectual humility. We can learn from everyone, for no one holds all knowledge. Recognizing our limits opens us to listening and growth.
Today, ask advice from someone more knowledgeable than you on a topic you master, or share knowledge with someone less advanced, while remaining humble.
