Do not despair of Allah's mercy

Jacob, despite his grief, sends his sons to search for Joseph and his brother, forbidding them to lose hope.

وَلَا تَاْيۡـَٔسُواْ مِن رَّوۡحِ ٱللَّهِ

"And do not despair of the mercy of Allah."

Quran, Yusuf 12:87

In this verse, Jacob asks his sons to go and search for Joseph and his brother. He forbids them from despairing of Allah's mercy. He clarifies that only the disbelieving people despair of that mercy. Thus, hope in Allah is a sign of faith.

In our lives, we face trials. Sometimes the situation seems hopeless. This verse reminds us that Allah's mercy is immense. We must keep hope and continue to act, like Jacob who sent his sons to search for Joseph.
