العَفْو
In this verse, the prophet Joseph forgives his brothers after their wrongdoing.
He said, "No blame will there be upon you today. Allah will forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful."
Quran, Yusuf 12:92
Joseph does not reproach them. He wishes for them Allah's forgiveness and reminds that Allah is the Most Merciful. This verse combines forgiveness between people and asking Allah for forgiveness. In our daily lives, we can imitate this attitude: let go of grudges and leave justice to Allah. Forgiving does not mean forgetting, but choosing not to hold the fault against the other.
Today, if someone has wronged you, simply tell them, "I forgive you," and ask Allah to forgive you as well.
