مَغْفِرَة
This verse reminds us that our Lord forgives despite our faults, while being severe in punishment.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغۡفِرَةٖ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلۡمِهِمۡۖ
And your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing.
Quran, Ar-Ra'd 13:6
In this verse, Allah combines two realities: His forgiveness and His punishment. He forgives people despite their faults, but He is also severe in punishment. This teaches us that His forgiveness is immense, but His justice exists. We might be tempted to defy His patience by thinking forgiveness is automatic. This verse invites us not to abuse His mercy and to return to Him sincerely.
Today, reflect on a mistake you have made and ask Allah for forgiveness in your own words, acknowledging His greatness.
