This verse reminds us that all creation prostrates before Allah.
And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the afternoons.
Quran, Ar-Ra'd 13:15
The verse associates all beings in the heavens and the earth, along with their shadows, in prostration before Allah. Some do so willingly, others by compulsion, but nothing escapes His sovereignty. As believers, we have the opportunity to prostrate by choice, with full awareness. This invites us to live our submission with joy and gratitude.
Today, during your next prayer, take a moment before prostrating to remember that you are joining all of creation in this act of worship.
