الْحَقُّ وَالْبَاطِلُ
Allah compares truth and falsehood to foam that vanishes and water that remains.
كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَٱلۡبَٰطِلَۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذۡهَبُ جُفَآءٗۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمۡكُثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
Thus Allah presents the example of truth and falsehood: as for the foam, it vanishes, being cast off; but as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth.
Quran, Ar-Ra'd 13:17
In this verse, Allah describes rain that makes valleys flow, carrying a foam that disappears, while the water remains and benefits the earth. Similarly, molten metal produces a foam that dissipates, while useful objects remain. Thus, Allah associates truth with what is lasting and falsehood with what fades away. In our lives, true words and actions have a lasting effect, while lies and injustice eventually vanish. Reflecting on this parable encourages us to choose what is solid and beneficial.
