الشكر
This verse teaches us that gratitude attracts an increase in Allah's blessings.
لَئِن شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمۡ
If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor].
Quran, Ibrahim 14:7
In this verse, Allah clearly promises: if we thank Him, He will increase His blessings upon us. The previous verse reminds us how Allah saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh, a tremendous favor. The following verse clarifies that Allah is not in need of our gratitude, but He rewards it with increase. In our daily lives, we can easily forget Allah's blessings. Becoming aware of His generosity and thanking Him opens the door to even more blessings. Gratitude is not only in the heart; it also shows in acknowledging and using blessings for good.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for three specific blessings, saying 'Alhamdulillah' for each one.
