رِزْق
This verse reminds us that rain is a blessing from Allah that produces our food.
وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخۡرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزۡقٗا لَّكُمۡۖ
And sent down rain from the sky and produced thereby some fruits as provision for you.
Quran, Ibrahim 14:32
Allah created the heavens and the earth. He sends down rain from the sky. Through it, fruits grow: this is rizq, provision for us. This verse invites us to recognize this gift. Whenever we eat a fruit, we can think of this gift. Rain and earth are signs of Allah's generosity. We can be grateful to Him.
Today, before eating a fruit, take a moment to say: 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) and think of the rain that made it grow.
