إِقَامَة الصَّلَاة
Abraham entrusts to Allah the establishment of prayer among his descendants.
رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
“Our Lord, that they may establish prayer”
Quran, Ibrahim 14:37
In this verse, Abraham settles with part of his family in an uncultivated valley near the Kaaba. He explains his intention: that they may establish prayer. He does not merely command them; he prays for them. He also asks that hearts incline toward them and that fruits be provided, so that they may be grateful. We can follow this example. To encourage our relatives to pray, we can start by supplicating Allah for them. Prayer is a gift; asking Allah to make it easy for our family is a humble and kind approach.
Today, after a prayer, supplicate Allah to help a family member establish prayer consistently.
