الذِّكْر
This verse reassures us of Allah's preservation of the Quran.
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.
Quran, Al-Hijr 15:9
In this verse, Allah affirms that He sent down the Quran and that He protects it. The word 'dhikr' here refers to the Quran itself. This protection is a divine promise: the text we read today is the one that was revealed. This certainty invites us to read the Quran with confidence and to meditate on its verses. Each reading is an encounter with a preserved word. We can therefore cling to it without fear.
Today, read a few verses of the Quran with the intention of pondering their meaning, in confidence.
